Star Gazing & Northen Lights

Enjoy the view ouside and watch the sky. We are fortunate to have many clear nights year round for optimum star gazing.

The best time to see the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) is winter (December to March)—with cold, clear nights and more hours of darkness. Prepare to stay up late: Around midnight-3am is usually show time.

Snowmobiling

There really is nothing like putting in a full day of riding in the wilderness to make you feel like an adventurer.

Kayanara is one of the last properties before you head into the wilderness, so you can stay with us, bring your snowmobiles and enjoy the winter playground that is the South Cariboo. There are many fun places to explore as you ride through pristine white powder.

Check out the links below for more ideas while you are here.

Cross Country Skiing

The 100 Mile Nordic is a volunteer-run club, operating the 99 Mile Trails just south of 100 Mile House, British Columbia.

The club manages two distinct trail systems on the 99 Mile Hill, as well as a warm and inviting Day Lodge, and two warming huts along the trails.

If you're lucky you might meet someone willing to share their fishing stories of the area.
